What is an engine?

An engine is an isolated workspace within your organization. Each engine has its own queues, tickets, users, and settings — ideal for separating departments, products, or clients.

How does AI pricing work?

Two options. Starter ($15/user/mo) includes AI via your own LLM key (BYOK) — you bring an Anthropic or OpenAI key and pay that provider directly. Pro ($35/user/mo) bundles AI: no key needed, 500K AI tokens per month included. You can switch tiers anytime.

What's BYOK?

Bring Your Own Key. Add your Anthropic or OpenAI API key in settings and the AI assistant uses it for chat, agent actions, and bulk operations. Your LLM provider bills you directly — Hokku charges nothing for AI on the Starter plan. Best for technical teams who already have LLM accounts.

What's an AI token?

Verse, our built-in AI assistant, meters usage in tokens — the unit LLMs bill in. The Pro plan includes 500K tokens per month, which covers heavy daily use for most teams. If you reach the cap, you can switch to BYOK or contact us about higher limits.

Why a 3-seat minimum?

Hokku is built for teams. The 3-seat minimum keeps pricing simple and ensures we can support every customer well. Solo users with a team-sized workload should still find $45/month a steal compared to Zendesk or Intercom.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No contracts, no commitments. Cancel from your billing page whenever you want.

How fast is Hokku?

Built on Rust. 40,000+ events per second. Most API responses return in under 10 milliseconds.

Do you support email-to-ticket?

Yes. Configure email channels to automatically create tickets from incoming mail and thread replies back to customers.

Is my data secure?

RBAC, 2FA, IP access controls, API key management, audit logging. All data encrypted at rest and in transit.

Can I customize ticket fields?

Yes. The drag-and-drop schema builder supports text, number, select, date, and more. Fields are versioned and scoped per queue.

How does tenant isolation work?

Each engine is a fully isolated workspace with its own data, users, queues, and security policies. No data leaks between engines.

Can I export my data?

Yes. CSV and JSON exports with schema-aware versioning. Streaming support for datasets of any size.

Do you have an API?
